Club Meeting
August 14th

Club Match: NRA Handgun Qualification

(Multiple Target Event) 25 feet; any safe semi-automatic pistol or revolver, any caliber; any sights; D-1 precision target; 4 stages using both hands, strong hand, and weak hand; total of 15 rounds. Possible score of 150.

This month we are swapping with the club match usually scheduled for October due to the set up for the NC State IDPA Championship that will be held here on August 16th. The Varmint Rifle Club Match will be held at the October meeting night instead of this month.

A brief club meeting will start about 7:00 pm.

Discipline Events:

Check the Calendar of Events for what's next for the disciplines of ATA Trap, IDPA & NRA High Power. The links to each of the disciplines will also give you more information. Browse and see what you've been missing!

IDPA: The season starts up in January with the Winter Pistol Frolic that is held regardless of the weather. February is our annual IDPA safety officers class, March is a classifier and pistol match then the season starts in earnest in April and runs through October. The 2008 NC State IDPA Championship will hopefully be held on August 16th this year. Second largest event of it's kind on the East Coast!

NRA High Power holds their regularly scheduled monthly matches on the 4th Saturdays.

Trap is holding practice sessions Tuesday and Thursday nights. Due to the cost of everything going up so does the cost of a little fun. $3.50 a round for practice and league. Team trap and ATA - April through November.

Benchrest 300-Yard match hopes to schedule two matches for 2008. The date is planned for August 30. Plan to attend and watch the website for the particulars prior to the matches.
