100 Yard Rimfire Benchrest Match Results, 12/11/2011

Many thanks to the hardy souls braving the 30 degree temps on the 100 yd Rifle Range today.  As usual, the Watauga range served up some blustery wind to go along with the cold, making the challenge even greater for cold ammo, cold bores, and cold shooters!

Only 2 points separated the top 5 shooters today.  The match was won with a 96, but the next three positions all scored 95, only separated by a few X’s!  Today’s conditions definitely knocked the scores down a bit!

Only one Iron sighted rifle showed up… we need more shooters to bring some “un-glassed” guns!

The ballistically superior .17 HMR’s definitely handled the range conditions better than the .22’s, with the hummers shooting much smaller group sizes and higher scores.
