Attend 2 meetings to complete the application process. Meetings are held on the second Thursday evening of each month beginning at 7:00 pm at the clubhouse.
Applicants introduce themselves to the membership at the first meeting they attend. The Membership Committee will then conduct a background check on the applicant. At the next meeting the Committee will advise the membership on whether or not they recommend the applicant for membership. All recommended applicants will be voted on by the membership for acceptance into the club. It is advisable to be present for this second meeting to know the outcome of the vote, pay dues, etc. No formal notification will be sent if the applicant is not present when the application is voted on by the membership.
New members receive a membership card, a Watauga Gun Club Membership Manual, a Range Use Manual and the code to the gate (if dues are paid). New members must also attend a safety and orientation class. Failure to adhere to the policies outlined in the Range Use Manual can result in expulsion from club membership.
