Hey folks, just received the match results from Steve Lunsford for May’s “High Country High Power Match.  It was unseasonably warm and humid up at WGC and mirage was ridiculous (forget about seeing hoes at 300… we were shooting blind and the scores, especially the final stage show it.  Kowa, Leica, etc, didn’t matter, you were not going to see through that soup regardless of how good your glass was!

Congratulations to John Friguglietti who took the High Master class along with the overall match winner with a score of 789-25x on a 800 aggregate match, that’s some excellent shooting.  Nikolas Taylor took the Master class, Hank Emery took the Expert class, Robbie White the Sharpshooter class, and Chris Maney took the Marksman class; great shooting fellers, congratulations! 

The 20 shot any/any match went to Joe West with 200-11x, and I believe me and Steven were right on his heels with a 200-10x and 200-9x respectively.  Like usual, a great match, great folks, and great weather.  Hope to see everyone up there on June 28th.  If you haven’t shot here, you don’t know what you are missing, especially in the summer when its usually pretty cool…. at least compared to the Lincolnton area.
