WATAUGA GUN CLUB: NRA High Power Discipline

The April match was commenced with six shooters and great weather.  We had a real shootout between the top three shooters as they were separated by only 10 points. Congratulations to Hank Emery who took the Expert class along with the overall match winner with a score of 736-12x on a 800 aggregate match, that’s some excellent shooting.  Blake Eckard took the Master class, Michael Canup the Sharpshooter class, and Chris Maney took the Marksman class; great shooting fellers, congratulations! 

We stage a 20 round any rifle/any sight fun match at the end of the High Power match.  This is a great opportunity to try out your scoped rigs or experiment with those test loads.  Be sure to keep this match in mind and come on out for next month’s match.  So come on out, get in on the fun while you can. See you then, and remember, keep your powder dry!
