Well we literally got the 2007 season off with a bang with the High Country High Power gang.   We started out the season with eight shooters, a few new shooters along with the hard core High Power gang of Boone.   Bob and Chris brought their classic Garand’s while the rest of the field was equipped with the infamous black rifle.  

Congratulations to Steven Lunsford Jr. who took the High Master class along with the overall match winner.  It was tough competition with some fine shooting between Hank Emery and Chris Bicking in the Expert class where they were only separated by 4 points in the final tally, Hank Emery took the Expert class while ol’ Deadeye sling shooting Brian “Spoon” Witherspoon took the Marksman class.   Thanks to all for a great turn out, looking forward to a good match on the 28 th of April.

We had six shooters compete in the 20 round any rifle/any sight fun match at the end of the High Power match.   Some really good shooting producing some good scores were turned in, it is always a lot of fun.   Brian “Spoon” Witherspoon opened a can on us and took the match – factory ammo with a last minute rifle build…. Congratulations!   Be sure to keep this match in mind and come on out for next month’s match.  So come on out, get in on the fun while you can. See you then, and remember, keep your powder dry!
