Club Matches

Club Meeting : Second Thursday : Every Month

Club match is held before the club meeting and setup usually starts around 4:00 pm. Check with the range officer.

Range Briefing Class for membership renewal is scheduled for 5:30 pm for those wishing to complete this annual requirement. (New Members Orientation Classes are generally held Sunday afternoons following club meetings at 1:30 pm at the clubhouse.)

Club meeting starts at 7:00 pm. Come early to shoot the club match between 5-6:30 pm and be finished before the meeting. Plan to be an active participant in the club business!

Gate Code changed at the March meeting. Only persons with renewals current for 2015 have the code. Two-meeting requirement: Range Briefing & a club meeting. Plan to come for the 1st at 5:30 before the regular meeting and hit both in one evening.

Watauga Gun Club is dedicated to upholding the Second Amendment rights of the citizens and to maintaining a safe place to exercise those rights. As is stated in Article II - Object of the club bylaws:

"The object of this organization shall be the encouragement of organized shooting events among the citizens of the United States in our community, with a view toward better knowledge on the part of such citizens of safe handling and proper care of firearms, as well as improved marksmanship. It shall be further object and purpose to forward the development of those characteristics of honesty, good fellowhip, self-discipline, team play and self-reliance, which are the essentials of good sportsmanship and the foundation of true patriotism."
